Jekyll Island of the 21st century is a great place for a family vacation. The island offers many attractions, yet without the glitz of a Disney World or the upscale feel of nearby St. And while Cumberland Island National Seashore, lying immediately to the south of Jekyll, is the largest coastal sanctuary among the Golden Isles, Jekyll is perhaps the most accessible island sanctuary along the entire eastern seaboard.
